Audra McDonald is unmatched in the range and variety of her talents as a singer and an actor. McDonald's return to television networks came in 2003 in which she co-starred with Josh Brolin in Mister Sterling. The Bedford Diaries, a WB television series that debuted in 2006. McDonald then appeared as a recurring part on NBC's Kidnapped in the year following. McDonald was nominated for a fourth Emmy in 2016, for her role in HBO's movie called Lady Day, at Emerson's Bar & Grill. In 2021, she starred alongside Taylor Schilling and Steven Pasquale as part of The Bite, a pandemic drama co-produced by Spectrum Originals and CBS Studios. McDonald first played U.S. lawyer Liz Lawrence (now Liz Reddick), in CBS's Legal action thriller The Good Wife, in 2009. In 2018, she recast the role on The Good Fight for Paramount+ as a series regular. She received three Critics Choice Award Nominations. The actress is currently a guest star in Julian Fellowes' historical drama The Gilded Age, which is telecast on HBO.
