Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress who is best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been active in films theater as well as television. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in numerous TV shows and independent as well as mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. On BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she get praise from critics for her character, she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. She made her professional debut as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The most recognizable part of her career is her work in Men of Honor and the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her part in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's drama about cops High Incident.
